Voting has ended, Slowey has departed Twins 6 at Yankees 7 July 5th, 2007 at 5:12 pm

Voting for the All-Star 32nd man ended just a few minutes ago. Thanks to everyone who downloaded and used the script. It looks like Pat Neshek will fall short in the voting, but it was a fun run.

I mentioned last night that Kevin Slowey would likely need a good start to save his job and he turned in another poor outing. He’s been demoted to AAA and Carmen Cali will return to take his spot on the roster. Matt Garza will almost certainly stick around to fill the starter role.

Why does it look like he will fall short?

Well yor're right, looks like Okajima won.

The only reason however is because he has a whole contry voting for him. Our only hope is that a reliever drops out.

Well, he finished 3rd. I don't think Japan was voting for Bonderman.

Boston has a good following and Minnesota…well, doesn't as sad is that is to say.
