Twins 0, Tigers 9 Twins 0 at Tigers 9 April 28th, 2006 at 11:30 pm
This was an ugly game all around for the Twins. Brad Radke again struggled early givig up 6 runs in the first 3 innings of the game. Radke was pulled in the 3rd and Matt Guerrier finished out the inning. Throught 5 starts this season Radke has no quality starts and his only two wins were a result of massive run support. After having arm trouble late last season, and now struggling mightily this season, Radke is starting to become a concern.
The Twins didn’t make any errors in the game, but there was a bad play on the left side of the infeild in the middle of the 7th which allowed the 3-run inning to carry on. A ground ball was hit between Batista and Castro and Batista probably should’ve let Castro field the ball, but instead just got in Castro’s way. The ball got by both of them for a base hit.
Shannon Stewart had a nice 2-hit night, but other than that the offense was pretty weak. Twins hitters totalled 6 hits and 2 walks in the game. Detroit starter Nate Robertson struck out 7 Twins batters.
