In three weeks... Twins 4 at Marlins 2 March 10th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
The Twins will play their first real game just three weeks from today…it’s getting close! For some reason, I just looked at the current Grapefruit league standings and couldn’t believe that the Twins are 8-4. I don’t remember eight wins, but I guess I was never keeping close track of the outcomes.
As for today’s game, all you probably care to know:
- Kevin Slowey turned around a rough start to spring with 3 shutout innings as the starter.
- Phil Humber didn’t start, but did pitch 2 scoreless innings.
- Carlos Gomez had his second straight 0-3 day and is batting .167 with 1 walk this spring.
