White to return July 23rd, 2007 at 7:59 am

Rondell White has been recalled to the big club sooner than most expected after just a couple games rehab after suffering a setback a couple weeks ago. It’s certainly a sign of the Twins’ desperate need for a bat in the lineup with Michael Cuddyer on the 15-day DL.

Will White be able to reproduce the numbers he put up late last season, or will he be back on the DL in a week? If the Twins still have any hope of competing for an AL playoff spot, I hope they realize they’ll need a greater addition to the lineup than just Rondell.

Yeah, if Rondell can play decent and they still pick up a bat via trade, I think the offense will really improve.
