What will you do when Hunter returns? November 24th, 2007 at 7:00 am

Despite signing a 5 year, $90 million contract with the Angels this week, Torii Hunter will be playing the in the Metrodome on opening day 2008. The Angels are scheduled to come to Minnesota for a 4-game series beginning March 31st.

It’ll be interesting to see what the response from fans will be when Hunter comes to bat for the first time or when he trots out to center field for the first time. While it seems like most fans understand that free agency is a part of the game and the Twins organization didn’t put any real effort into signing Hunter, there are surely a number of fans frustrated to see him leave for more money.

What will you be doing on opening day? Will you boo or will you applaud Hunter?

Definitely will be applauding him. How many years has it been now that Hunter was a great, loyal player for the Twins? We all knew that he'd be leaving one day, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

The guy deserves a lot of respect.

I know the majority if not all in the building will be applauding for the simple reason Twins fans have more class/respect than that. I mean it isnt Philly (insert fans booing Santa Claus)
