Twins waste no time signing Adam Everett

The day after the Astros non-tendered Adam Everett as a result of their trade for Miguel Tejada, the Twins have signed him to a 1-year deal. Everyone will rave about his defensive ability at SS. That's all fine and dandy, but doesn't this team really need help with the bats? Everett has a career line of .248/.299/.357.

With Everett manning SS, Brendan Harris becomes the favorite to play 2nd (if he wasn't already). That still leaves a hole at 3B. It seems most likely that the Twins will seek someone from outside the organization to play 3rd. Internally they could go with Nick Punto, who should be a utility infielder or even less likely, they might consider moving Michael Cuddyer back to his old position.
