On May 17th 700 content sites, including Twins Nation, applied to join the 9rules network. On Saturday the list of the 111 sites that were preliminarily selected was released. I'm proud to announce that Twins Nation made the cut. It's not official yet, we still have to go through the process of accepting the member agreement, but I don't forsee any roadblocks.

I'm excited and honored to see that the work I've put into this site is being noticed and validated. I couldn't be more pleased with the way the first 3 months of this site have gone. The partnership with 9rules will be positive in a few ways:

1. The site will likely see a noticeable increase in traffic as a result.
2. I'll have access to some of the most successful bloggers out there for opinions and advice as I steer the site forward.
3. I still own the site and control the content that appears on it.

What is 9rules?

9rules is a premium network of blogs across all areas of interest. According to them:

"The basic premise of 9rules is to find great, independent content, and showcase it in an effort to build recognition for that author and to help users locate good blogs on their favorite topics. You can’t join 9rules just by submitting a form and selecting a password, your weblog has to be approved and selected as being of a high quality."

Twins Nation will likely join the sports community (what else?) which currently has just a few sites. Looking through the accepted list I noticed a few more sports blogs will be arriving with Twins Nation.
