Spring Training.

The Twins guaranteed themselves a winning spring training record with thier victory over the Pirates today. With a 17-13 spring record the Twins have just 3 games remaining before the April 4th opener in Toronto. Johan Santana got his final start of the spring and went only 4 innings while racking up 7 strikouts and givine up 5 hits and 2 walks.

Willie Eyre, who's expected to get a bullpen job raised the chances that the Twins will seek a trade or waiver acquisition before the season starts. He gave up 3 earned runs in 1 1/3 innings, raising further doubts that he could be an effective member of what has been one of the best bullpens in years past.

Jason Kubel and Lew Ford, in a fight for the RF job both had good days at the plate. Each had 2 hits with a double. Matt Moses had a 3 hit day and Jason Tyner had 2 hits.
