Before there was Twins Nation there was, well, a Twins Nation. That's right, this isn't the first site devoted to everyone's favorite team. There's a whole list of Twins blogs out there. Twins Nation isn't out to take over all these other great sites; it wouldn't be possible if we tried. We're here to further strengthen the Twins community and hopefully fill a niche that was once left empty. Since the launch of this site 11 days ago I've been meaning to go through the list of some of the pioneers of the Twins online community, so here goes:

  • These guys are twice as good as Twins Nation when it comes to Nicks. They also write some pretty good stuff about the Twins and you can count on a new post almost daily.
  • Twinkie Town is part of a large community of MLB blogs. The site is always good for some well thought out analysis.
  • Aaron Gleeman is probably the best know Twins blogger, especially after his appearance in Sports Illustrated. He also has an interesting run-down of the top 40 Twins of all-time going in the left sidebar of his site.
  • Will Young's Twins Page includes charts of the Twins' contracts as well as a board of the entire Twins Organization.
  • Bat Girl is probably more enternaining for the female Twins fans among us, but every once in a while she'll have something that's amusing to all.

The list certainly isn't exhaustive, but those are the sites I visit most often and the one's that I've come across the best content on. If you feel I've left something off that deserves mentioning, please use the comments.

Also, Thursday was a pretty slow news day in Twins Nation, so there's not much to report on other than what you'll find in the March 30th game recap.
