Opener Recap
I posted some live commentary and a game recap over in the scoreboard section, so check that out for details of the game. From time-to-time over the course of the season I'll keep a running live commentary on games, so be sure to stop by during games and leave comments as well.
With the exception of a couple homeruns, the Twins didn't have much offense tonight. To be fair, they were playing against Roy Halladay. The biggest disappointment of the game for me came in the 4th inning when Mauer reached second on an error with no outs. White and Hunter were unable to move him over to 3rd and Morneau struck out to end the inning. That's what the Twins did way too much of in 2005, and they're going to need to change that this season.

The Indians beat the White Sox today. Jim Thome has looked great in Chicago's first two games, which is pretty scary. If he stays healthy all year, the White Sox will be better than they were last season.
The Indians placed Sabathia on the disabled list. He's expected to miss 3-5 weeks. That's big for the Twins who will face the Indians later this week. It's also very bad for the Indians who didn't have the strongest pitching staff to begin with.
