Spring Training Game.
The Devil Rays beat the Twins in a sloppy game for both teams. Each team committed three errors. The Twins' bats struggled against lefty Mark Hendrickson but managed to gain the lead off Tampa relief pitching. Sawatski gave up 3 in the eighth to give the Devil Rays the victory.
Castro saw his first Grapefruit league action of the season after returning from the WBC with a wrist injury. He was 0-for-2. Hunter and Castillo each doubled for the Twins and Mauer hit a three-bagger. Batista was 0-for-4, dropping his spring average to .222.
