Crain to DL
Twins Insider today reported that Jesse Crain has been placed on the 15-day DL.
This morning I tweeted about Jose Mijares's good start with the Rochester Red Wings, and it just so happens that he'll get the call to replace Crain. It was just a matter of time before Mijares joined the Twins bullpen. Unfortunately it had to come at the expense of Crain, who is potentially the best pitcher in the bullpen after Joe Nathan.
Mijares is a hard-throwing lefty that shined in his late-season call up with the Twins last year. He arrived at camp a little heavier than the team would've liked and had a rough spring.
