Beat down by the big guys
The Twins were beat handily in the opening series of the ALDS by a few of the biggest names on the team. C.C. Sabathia pitched almost 7 strong innings. The Twins got to him for 8 hits, but Sabathia got the big outs when he needed them and didn't walk any Twins.
The Twins scored first with 2 runs in the 3rd inning, but the Yankees struck back immediately in the bottom of that inning with a 2-run home run from Derek Jeter. Jeter reached base in all 4 of his plate appearances, getting 2 hits and drawing 2 walks. Alex Rodriguez and Hideki Matsui also had 2 RBI a piece.
The Twins are now 0-8 against the Yankees this season, and Friday's game becomes almost a must-win. They'd like to come back to the Metrodome with a 1-1 split to give them a fair chance of winning the series. Nick Blackburn will face A.J. Burnett in the 2nd game of the series.

To be a star you must perform as a star. You must play big in the big spots. Nathan plays great until it counts the most. He was scared pitching to the Yankees. They'll never win if your scared of your opponent.

Items needed for a Yankees Victory: • Derek Jeter nope • Alex Rodriguez nope • An opponent that does not get to sleep (thanks Major league baseball) • An umpire unsure what a fair ball from a fall ball is
Game 2 is not the fault of the Yankee’s or their fans but I would not be proud to be a member of the Yankee organization or the fans and take pride in playing a team with no sleep in game 1. Shame on the commissioner.
