- Scott Baker allowing a 2-run homer in the first inning
- Scott Baker allowing a 2-run homer in the second inning
- Scott Baker allowing a 2-run homer in the third inning
- Juan Morillo walking 3 of 4 batters, and allowing a double to the other
- Back-to-back infield pop-ups from Jason Kubel and Michael Cuddyer with bases loaded
- A 7.06 ERA from Francisco Liriano after 4 starts
- An 0-12 streak from Cuddyer
- Losing both games of a double-header by a combined 13 runs
- Being outscored by an MLB-worst 31 runs in the season
- Starting off 1-4 on the road
The bullpen did pitch well in the second game after Liriano allowed 7 runs. Matt Guerrier, Luis Ayala and Jose Mijares combined for 4 shutout innings.
Also, as bad as the Twins have played this season, they've still managed a record of 7-9 and are just 2 games behind the trio of division leaders. They haven't dug themselves a hole that's impossible to climb out of.
The Twins will be off today before they head to Cleveland for a 3-game weekend set.
