A look at the 2004 draft
- Via LEN III - Twins Insider November 20th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
- Note: We’ve had sever problems here all day. Joe C. and I have tried to post all day long, with no success. Joe C. has given up and is heading home. With Baby C. on the way, he’s got plenty on his plate. I wrote the following post this morning but couldn’t get it posted until now.
The Twins on Wednesday [...]

Timing is Everything
- Via Stick and Ball Guy November 20th, 2008 at 7:34 am
- They say that timing is everything. I suppose there's some truth to that. For example, there's me yesterday saying that I'm on the brink of losing complete interest in the T-Wolves and then they promptly go out and get a decent win last night. I'm not stupid enough to think that they [...]

2008-09 Game 10: 76ers at Wolves
- Via Stick and Ball Guy November 19th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
- <GreekHouse>So I had a fun time watching the last Wolves game with Petey while drinking white russians, despite the loss. It was a throwback to our college days when we did that all the time.
With about 4 minutes remaining and the Wolves up by 5, I said to Petey "I get the [...]

Justin and Joe Make the MVP List
- Via Minnesota Twins Fan November 19th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
- Most people say that second place is really just the firs loser, but I still think it is an honor to be second in Most Valuable Player voting. Think of all the other baseball players that didn?t even make the top five. My favorite Minnesota Twin, Justin Morneau was this years MVP runner-up (some guy from the Red Sox won) and Joe Mauer (or minnesot

Twins Near the Top
- Via Nick & Nick's Twins Blog November 19th, 2008 at 12:14 am
- Yesterday, Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia was named American League MVP, as I and many others expected. Of note for Twins fans is that both Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer finished in the top five, with Morneau coming in second behind Pedroia and Mauer finishing fourth behind Kevin Youkilis. The results of the voting are not terribly surprisin

Morneau, Mauer Take 2nd, 4th in MVP Voting
- Via Twinkie Town November 18th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
- Dustin Pedroia came out the big winner today, a BWAA decision I actually can't argue with, but the Twins had a nice showing themselves. Morneau recieved 257 votes, behind Pedroia's 317 to take second place in the AL, and, perhaps even more hearteningly, Mauer took fourth place with 188 votes.
It's nice to see Mauer get some recognition in th

- Boston’s Dustin Pedroia has been voted AL MVP, outpointing the Twins’ Justin Morneau 317-257.
Twins catcher Joe Mauer finished fourth, receiving two first-place votes.
Five different players received first place votes, a reflection of how many voters struggled with the decision - and a reflection of the different criteria used to determ
